When I was growing up in the DC area one of my favorite things to do was to go to the different museums and check out the latest exhibits. When I moved to AZ I was shocked that the museums were not free and I quickly discovered that the admission fees can be pretty steep. Most of us are on a limited budget these days, myself included, so I was pretty excited when I found a way to get to enjoy some of the local museum exhibits for free.
Here’s how it works. Do you have a Bank of America credit card or debit card? If so, you can take advantage of their Museums on Us Program. The first weekend of every month BOA offers free admission to more than 125 museums Nationwide. It’s pretty easy. All you have to do is present your BOA credit or debit card and a photo ID and you will receive one (1) free admission.
The Phoenix metro area museums that are participating in the program this month are the Phoenix Museum of Art and the Musical Instrument Museum.
Want more information about the program or to see where you can go in your state or city? Click on the following link: Museums on Us. Be sure to check back each month since the museums that participate in each city can change from time to time.
Not a Bank of America customer? Click here to read my previous post, Culture Pass 2011-2012 for details about how to go to other Museums for FREE!
